She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Kinney and Peggy Kinney (Huffman); and her sister Patricia Jean Nunn. She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Ann Ortiz and Michael Thomas; her husband Ralph Ortiz; and her siblings, Peggy Sue Kinney, Dale and David Zairo.

In lieu of flowers donations in Kathy's name may be made to the Red Cross.
