He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Kathleen A.; his parents, George C. and Myrtle Bloom, Sr.; his grandchildren, Brooke and Ryder; his sisters, Sandra L. Fares and Carol Maisenhelder; and his children, George R. Bloom and Amanda S. Bloom.

“I grew up with George as my neighbor, as his daughter, Amanda was a dear friend of mine. He was quick to give me a hard time, but always in jest. He had the greenest lawn in the neighborhood, along with the most beautiful garden. He loved his family unconditionally, and treated me like I was a part of it. His passion for his dogs was obvious, and I'll never forget his special, one of a kind whistle he used to round them up. I have so many memories from when they first moved 2 doors away. Rip.”
