She was predeceased by: her parents, Einer Nelson and Afrida Nelson; her husband George P Spigel; her daughter Karyl Lynn Spigel; and her siblings, Ruth, Jeanette and Edward.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Thomas Spigel (Cecelia), John Spigel (Nancy) and Karen Volpicella (Michael); her grandchildren, Dr. Kevin Spigel, Brian Spigel, William Spigel, Michael Spigel (Daisy) and Kristin Paniagua-Ferrari (Carlos); and her great grandchildren, Chiara, Caterina and Olivia Rose.
