She was predeceased by: her parents, Gregg Blackwood and Alice Blackwood; her husband Harold Ralph "Bud" Smith; her brother Gregg D. Blackwood; her great grandchild Sophia Mae Crowell; and her sister-in-law Lois Blackwood.

She is survived by: her children, Harold Ralph Smith, Jr. (Shirley) of Culver Lake and Mary Lou Holterman (William) of Newton; her brother Robert Blackwood of Washington; her grandchildren, Glenn Holterman (Katie) of Branchburg, Kimberly Crowell (Michael) of Culver Lake and Greer Groves (Matthew) of Ocean Pines, MD; her great grandchildren, Andrew, Jason Holterman, Madeline, Elisabeth Crowell, Amelia and Macie Groves; and her friend Paul Cummins of Hampton Township.
