He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilhelm and Elise; and his siblings, Achim and Gertrude. He is survived by: his wife Eva Kleinert; his sons, Stefan Kleinert (Linda) and Eric Kleinert (Jessica); and his grandchildren, Alison, Ryan and Lily.
