We bid farewell to Michael A. Pietrunti of Waretown, New Jersey, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 1, 2025 at the age of 87. Michael touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine; his sisters, Anna Marie and Catherine; his children, John, Lorraine, Michael and Philip; his children-in-law, Michelle, Jeanine and Joseph; his grandchildren, Michael, Dominick, Jessica, Candace, Samantha, Jaimee, Alexandra, Melaine, Alyssa, Nicole and Philip; and his great grandchildren, Robert, Nicholas, Vayda, Maverick, Jax, Kaia and Gabrielle.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Layton's Home For Funerals (250 Lacey Rd, Forked River, NJ 08731). Viewing was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St Pius X Church (300 Lacey Rd, Forked River, NJ 08731). The military honors was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery (350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08501).
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
