We are sad to announce that on December 17, 2021, at the age of 58, Scott J. Kearns of Wanaque, New Jersey, born in Kearny, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kearns and Jane Kearns. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Kearns (Kirschbaum); his children, Sarah Shutrop (Kevin) of West Milford, Mollie Kearns of Wanaque and John Kearns II of Wanaque; and his siblings, Mark Kearns (Sandra), John Kearns, Daniel Kearns (Holly) and Kimberly Schoonover. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Scott's memory to the McGrath Institute for Church Life at the University of Notre Dame.
