We bid farewell to Betty E. Schmidt of Wanaque, New Jersey, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 25, 2025 at the age of 93. Betty touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Bender (Lina Schwarzkopf) and NJ. She is survived by: her children, Mark Schmidt (Linda), Jeff Schmidt and Karen Johnson; her grandchildren, Jason Schmidt (Mara), Marylynn Harding (Daryl), Paul Schmidt (Beth), Abby Johnson, Keven Schmidt, Peter Schmidt (Amanda) and Natalie Johnson; and her great grandchildren, Dominic Harding, Thea Schmidt, Brielle Harding, Oliver Schmidt and Madelyn Schmidt.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, Inc. (86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ 07405). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bloomingdale United Methodist Church (65 Main St, Bloomingdale, NJ 07403). A burial will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Mt Rest Cemetery (15 Kakeout Rd, Butler, NJ 07405).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Bloomingdale United Methodist Church.
