He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Truese and Geraldine Truese (Laico). He is survived by: his close friend Ida Agaman; his daughter Martina Aponte; his granddaughters, Krizia Aponte and Nikolette Aponte; and his siblings, Charles Truese, Lawrence Truese and Geraldine Tirone. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews.
