He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Truese and Geraldine Truese (Laico). He is survived by: his close friend Ida Agaman; his daughter Martina Aponte; his granddaughters, Krizia Aponte and Nikolette Aponte; and his siblings, Charles Truese, Lawrence Truese and Geraldine Tirone. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kimak Funeral Home (425 Broad St, Carlstadt, NJ 07072). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus R. C. Church (127 Paterson Ave, Wallington, NJ 07057).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, stjude.org (https://stjude.org) which John was very passionate about.
