He is survived by: his sibling Marines; his mother Mary Shortess; his daughters, Danielle and Katie Bartsche; his wife Dawn Steilen Bartsche; his siblings, Dana, Emil, Roger, Lisa and Grinny; and his friend Marines. He is also survived by spouses, nieces and nephews.
