He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Morton and Mary Morton; his former wife Catherine "Kay" Morton; and his siblings, Marian, Wilbur, Edith and Gene.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Talty; his children, Stephen (Robin) of Bel Air, Brian (Kelly) of Howell and Karen Jensen (Tom) of Wall; his stepdaughters, Cara Talty of Summit and Elizabeth LeDonne (Chris) of Boonton Twp; his grandchildren, Thomas, Samantha, Matthew, Christopher, Alexander, Madison, Joshua, Connor, Declan, Maren, Gia and Conor; and his nieces and nephews, Patricia Toey of Manasquan, Kathleen Steger (Donald) of Manasquan, Christopher Steger (Lauren) of Manchester Twp and Timothy Steger (Gretchen) of Manasquan.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St Judes Children's Hospital or a charity of their choice in Dave's honor.
