He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Edward Sr. and Eileen Ertle. He is survived by: his wife Michelle Ertle; his son Eugene Edward Ertle III (Amanda) of Brick; his grandchildren, Layla and Andrew Ertle; his siblings, Eileen Ertle of Wall Twp and Erik T. "Pip" Ertle (Kathleen) of Manasquan; and his mother-in-law MaryEllen Occhicone of Brick Twp. He is also survived by several nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the O'Brien Funeral Home (2028 NJ-35, Wall Township, NJ 07719). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Denis Church (90 Union Ave, Manasquan, NJ 08736).
