He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn Hart Risden; his parents, Albert Risden and Martha Risden; and his siblings, Robert, Richard Risden, John Risden, Joyce McNeil, Dorothy Hyatt and Geneva McLeod.
He is survived by: his children, Robin Loffer and Christopher Ian Peer Risden (Megumi); his foster daughter Linda Feeney; his granddaughters, Rachel, Sarah and Hannah Risden; his brother Gerald Risden (Marilyn); and his sister-in-law Peg Hart.
