He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Bourgeois and Blanch Bourgeois (McFadgen); his wife Barbara Oppegaard (Davenport); and his brothers, Milton, Richard, Donald, Robert and Steven Oppegaard.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard (Christine Oppegaard) and Michael (Stephanie Oppegaard); and his grandchildren, Dr. Kylie Oppegaard, Adam Oppegaard and Ryan Oppegaard.
