He was predeceased by: his daughter Kerin Gardiner; his parents, John Whittaker and Madeline D. Whittaker (Doyle); and his brother Jack Whittaker. He is survived by: his wife Diane Whittaker (Jemison); his children, Thomas A. Whittaker, Jr. and Dania Gardiner; and his brother Gene Whittaker. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and many cousins and friends.
