He was predeceased by: his parents, George A. Barber and Marie (Fischer); and his siblings, George, Rose Marie Shadinger, Anthony and Daniel.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth (Cerverizzio); his daughters, Jennifer Meehan (Kevin) and Jill; his grandchildren, Ryan and Grace Meehan; and his siblings, Thomas (Victoria), Rita Yusko (Martin), Michael (Patricia), Brenda Shaw (Harvey) and Steven (Bernice). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Knights of Columbus Charities and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
