He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bassetti and Mary Bassetti (Trovarelli); his wife Delores Bassetti; his siblings, Joseph (Beatrice), James (Tootsie), John (Nellie), Anthony (Betty), Frank (Angie), Sarah DiMatteo (Bill), Julia Salera and Gloria Vassallo (Dom); and his brothers-in-law, Joseph "Bucky" Bocchetti, Michael Forcinito and John Propheita.
He is survived by: his children, Brian (Marguerite), Medio, Jr. (Jane) and Darlene (Kenny); the mother of his children Caroline Hooven; his grandchildren, Jason Briggs (Michelle), Ryan Briggs (Erin), Melanie Anderson (Kevin), Rachel Harrington (Rob), Timothy Bassetti and Medio Bassetti III; his stepgrandchildren, Kenneth (Allison) and Rosalia (Ish); his great grandchildren, Kayla (Matthew), Sarah, Jacob, Mason, Emma, Noah, Katie, Julia, Gabriella and Zechariah; his great great grandchild Olivia; and his sisters, Josephine Bocchetti, Sue Forcinito, Tillie Propheita and Trovarelli.
Memorial contributions in Medio's memory may be made to Bishop McCarthy Residence, 1045 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ 08360 where he resided the past three months being cared for by the most loving and compassionate staff.
