He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Hayes and Ethel Hayes (Dalton); his son Liston Hayes Jr.; his grandson Tyler Hensley; and his siblings, Thomas B Hayes (Bonnie), Essie Brown (Alfred), Larry Hayes (Geneva), Buford Hayes, Mary Mead (Edward), Walter Hayes (Elizabeth), Laura Mae Young (Norville), Frank Hayes (Ardenas) and Hence Hayes (Eunice).
He is survived by: his close friend Alice Repin; his children, Alex Repin (Kristen) and Nina Repin; his granddaughter Kay; his children, Walt Hayes (Holly), Thomas Hayes (Valarie), William Hensley and Ethel (Edward "Skip"); and his grandchildren, Robert Moore, Walter Hayes Jr. (Christina), James Caldwell (Rachel), MaryAnn Caldwell (Brian), Katelynn Hayes, Craig Malick, Kylee Hayes, Lauralyn Hayes, Autumn Hayes, Bella Hayes and Alice DeGroodt. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren, multiple nieces and nephews cousins and life long friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Christy Funeral Home (11 W Broad St, Millville, NJ 08332). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:15 AM at the Greenwood Memorial Park (1001 E Broad St, Millville, NJ 08332).
