He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Paz and Maria Rios-Duprey of Vineland. He is survived by: his son Jose Paz Jr.; his grandchildren, Alexander Luis Paz, Ariel Virginia Paz, Jose Hector Paz and Noralize Maria Medero; and his friends, Blanca Diaz, Manny Resto "Papo Conga", Jose Rosario "Junebug", Alfredo Rios "Curley", Angel and Hector Figueroa.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral home in Joey's memory.
