He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Mainiero and Mary Mainiero (DePalma); his wife Marie Mainiero (Sasdelli); and his brothers, Mark Mainiero (Marion) and Theodore "Ted" Mainiero.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Mainiero (Stacy), Gene Mainiero Jr. (Caroline), Ted Mainiero (Gloria) and John Mainiero (Denise); and his grandchildren, Mike, Nicole, Scott, Russell, Craig, Francesca, Felicia, Anna Marie, Geno of Angelina, T. J., Christina, Nick and Drew. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
