He was predeceased by: his wife Sonia M. Alvarez; his parents, Armando Alvarez and Angelica Alvarez; and his siblings, Gilberto Lugo, Juan Lugo, Israel Lugo and Silvia Lugo.
He is survived by: his children, Madelyn Rodriguez (Edgardo), Armando Alvarez Jr. (Kimberleigh), Maria L. Rodriguez (Hector) and Cristobal Alvarez (Angie); his grandchildren, Edgardo Rodriguez Jr., Michael Rodriguez, Hillary R. Rodriguez, Hannah R. Rodriguez, Alex Alvarez, Miguel Alvarez, Maria Alvarez, Ronald Alvarez and Sonia Alvarez; and his close friend Felicita Solis. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
