He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Johnson and Anna James; his nephew Bill Mathews; and his brother-in-law Pearl Mathews. He is survived by: his siblings, Linda Mathews and Otis James, Sr.; and his nieces and nephews, Anna, Lanika, Jameisha, Phil and Otis Jr.. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
