He was predeceased by: his parents, Larue Smith and Mary Smith (McBride); his daughter Alicia C. Sexton; and his siblings, Bud Smith, Mary Burns, Rita Sheridan and Judith McCann.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Smith (Leaden); his son Francis J. Smith, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Samantha, Alexis, Maryann and Craig. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
