She was predeceased by: her parents, Avary Ward and Grace Ward; and her sister Dorothy Margraf. She is survived by: her husband William J. Smith (Bill); her stepchildren, William Smith and Patricia "Patti" Carnes (Todd); her grandchildren, Steven and Melissa Smith; and her brother David Ward. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
