She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Major and Anne Major; and her nephew Richard Lanahan. She is survived by: her daughters, Lori Dodge Valdes and Kelly Dodge; her grandchildren, Kayce, Jake and Alexi Valdes; her sisters, Ann Lanahan and Dorothy "Dee" Trimmer (Dale); and her niece Barbara Jean Lanahan.
