He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius F. Cawthorne, Sr. and Kathleen Manning Cawthorne; his brother Dr. Charles A. Cawthorne; and his sister-in-law Elizabeth A. Cawthorne. He is survived by: his wife Karen Cawthorne (Fitzsimmons); his children, Deana Cawthorne of Ocean Pines, MD, Cornelius Cawthorne (Neil), Laura Zoll (William) of Newton, MA and Kirk Cawthorne (Tatyana) of Mendham, NJ; his grandchildren, Kimberly Cawthorne-Czander (Nick), Lea Cawthorne, Chelsea Cawthorne, Matthew Zoll and Daniel Cawthorne; his stepgranddaughters, Kayla Simone (Joey) and Krista Calzaretta (Joe); his great grandchildren, Joseph Simone and Benjamin Calzaretta; and also, Michael Fitzsimmons, Sandra Fitzsimmons and Vicki Bumpers Cawthorne. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
