It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jane Pier (Vernon, New Jersey), born in Maplewood, New Jersey, who passed away on February 6, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Harold Connamacher and Dr. Carye-Belle Henle (Connamacher); her siblings, Patricia Charache and Robert Connamacher; and her son Jeffrey Pier.
She is survived by: her husband John Pier, Jr.; her sons, Greg, David, Jeff and John; her friend Sandy Larsen; her children-in-law, Greg, Diane Pier of Vernon Twp, NJ, David, Karen Pier of Rockland, ME, John Pier, Stephanie Paine of Freeport, ME, Beth Pier of Canton, NY and Finnish; and her son Aki Makkonen. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to either the Vernon United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 345, Vernon, NJ 07462; or the Eagle Island Camp on Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks.
