She was predeceased by: her mother Annabelle Durney; her husband Charles; her father Alfred J. Durney; her daughter Marylou Peterson; her brothers, Alfred Durney, John Durney, Joseph Durney and Thomas Durney; and her siblings-in-law, Dee Durney, Laura Durney and Stanley Sokalski.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Wirth (Philip), Charles Peterson, Jr., Eileen Peterson DiPasquale, Daniel Peterson (Andrea), Donna McFadden (Thomas) and James Peterson (Andrea); her grandchildren, Danielle Paul (David), Amy Lee Kimble (David), Frank DiPasquale (Lindsey), Matthew Wirth (Melanie), Jonathan Wirth, Erin Peterson, Andrew DiPasquale, Evan Peterson, Ryan McFadden (Kelly), Patrick McFadden (Stephanie), Avé Mary McFadden, Adam Peterson, Connor Joseph Peterson, Maeve Eileen McFadden, Hayden James Peterson and Charlie Peterson; her siblings, Ann Sokalski (Durney), Catherine Libonate (Durney) and Patrick Durney; and her sisters-in-law, Roselyn Durney and Janet Walls. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. James Church (6415 Atlantic Ave, Ventnor City, NJ 08406). A Mass was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (5061 Harding Hwy, Mays Landing, NJ 08330).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's memory to Holy Spirit High School, 500 S. New Road, Absecon, NJ 08201 and Villa Raffaela Assisted Living, 917 S. Main St., Pleasantville, NJ 08232.
