He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur and Lorraine; and his brother Kenneth. He is survived by: his wife Sue; his sons, Aaron and Bryant; his daughters-in-law, Kathryn and Samantha; his brother Glenn (Diane); his grandsons, Arthur and David; and also Stacy (Cindy).

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Scott may be made to USR Baseball Association where Scott was a treasurer and coach would be a nice gesture.

“My heartfelt condolences to the Shapiro family. Scott and I grew up a few houses apart on Queen Ct. in Park Ridge and we were very good friends throughout High School. We played a lot of basketball together and I remember he and I were usually teammates in many two on two games at the Town Pool during the summer. He could always hit the outside jumper. Scott was one of the good guys and he will be missed! Ed Gunther”
