It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Bookstaver (Upper Saddle River, New Jersey), born in Hastings on Hudson, New York, who passed away on October 18, 2019, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bookstaver and Gertrude Gabie; and his wife Eileen. He is survived by: his children, Mari Davis and Sean Bookstaver; his grandchildren, Kylie Davis of Brooklyn, NY, Tyler Davis of Hoboken, NJ, Teagan Davis, Caroline, Emily and Ryan Bookstaver; his children-in-law, Jennifer Bookstaver, Jack Davis and Upper Saddle River; his sister Hazel Chernoski; his nephew Charlie Chernoski; and his nieces, Elizabeth Shaw, Amy Spooner and Ivy Stokes.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to his American Legion, Post 153, in Park Ridge, NJ.
