She was predeceased by: her parents, Alicia Beloria Bañes and Juan Damires Pegarido; and her brother Zaldy Pegarido. She is survived by: her sisters, Nancy P. Doronila, Salvacion P. Resurreccion, Dona Jean P. Bermejo, Joan P. Cerbas, Mae P. Manon and Charina P. Grino; and her husband Romulo Del Prado. She is also survived by sisters, brothers-in-law nieces and nephews.

In accordance to Janet's wishes, memorial contributions may be made towards the building of the school playground where she graduated from grade school, and where her mom taught first grade.
