She was predeceased by: her mother Arlene Holmes; her cousin Betty Martin; and her husband James Hopkins. She is survived by: her cousins, Louise "Mutter" White and Martha "Lumpy" Chandler; her son Rod Simpkins; her daughter-in-law Leah Simpkins; her granddaughters, Briana and Kaiya Simpkins; her sister Jean Dancy; her niece Judy Dancy; her nephew Ron Dancy; and her great-nephews, Dru Dancy and Elijah Elmore.
