He was predeceased by: his parents, Adan Aranzazu and Maria Buitrago; his son Luberney Aranzazu; and his siblings, Alberto Aranzazu, Arturo Aranzazu, Clementina Aranzazu and Rosalba Aranzazu.
He is survived by: his daughter Adriana Aranzazu; his grandchildren, Yarelin Aranzazu, Mauricio Patino, Tatyana Maslov, Jonathan Aranzazu, Geraldine Aranzazu and Yiovanny Bonilla Aranzazu; and his siblings, Luz Aranzazu, Marino Aranzazu, Nelson Aranzazu, Ines Aranzazu, Carlos Aranzazu, Ramon Aranzazu and Roberto Aranzazu. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren.
