He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Gloria Stager; his son Edward Stager; and his grandson Jason Rose. He is survived by: his children, George, Jr. (Sue), Diane (Noel Cote), Maggie Rose and Barbara (Ralph Guillen). He is also survived by Twelve grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and new found friends.
