It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bartolome Ruiz Velez of Union City, New Jersey, who passed away on April 17, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ermelinda Vélez and Leopoldo Ruiz Vélez; his wife Felicia Ruiz; his son Carlos Marcos Ruiz; and his stepson Nelfel Gotay.
He is survived by: his children, Doris E. Ruiz (Virgen Guzmán) and José J. Ruiz (Aury Ruiz); his granddaughter Nataly Ruiz Ferrer; his daughter Deborah Moran (Wilberto Moran); his granddaughter Kaylee Moran; his stepson Luis Soto; his niece Iris Ruiz Vázquez; his friend Ludy; and also, Lourdes and Silkia.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Becker Funeral Home (219 Kinderkamack Rd, Westwood, NJ 07675). A prayer was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery (350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562).
