It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Anna R. LaCandia of Union City, New Jersey, who passed away on January 13, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Federico Rotonno and Sebastiana Rotonno; her husband Mauro LaCandia; and her son Leonard. She is survived by: her siblings, Jimmy and Mary LaVerghetta; her brother-in-law Nicholas; her daughter Francine; her son-in-law John Palumbo; her grandson Michael (Maria); her great grandchildren, Giovanni and Valentino Palumbo; her granddaughter Adreanna Spezzaferro (Dave); her sister-in-law Phyllis Rotonno; her nephew Vincent LaVerghetta (Mary); her great-nephew Nicholas; her niece MaryAnn D'Angelo (John); and also, Aidan and Alice.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Vainieri Funeral Home (5923 John F. Kennedy Blvd, North Bergen, NJ 07047). A Mass was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Rocco's Church (4206 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Union City, NJ 07087).
