With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James A. Hyer Sr. of Union Beach, New Jersey, born in Long Branch, New Jersey, who passed away on March 22, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sophie Hyer and Joseph Hyer; his siblings, Edith, Frank, Sue and Jenny; and his brother-in-law Bernard Farrell.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen Hyer; his children, Colleen Hyer (Mark Angstadt), Gail Williams (William) and James, Jr. (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Jennifer Trumper (Phil), Erin Lamberson (Elmer), Megan Giese, Nikole Carroll, Jesse Carroll, Jamie Hyer, Quinn Jansen (Brian), Sharyn Garafolo (Nino), Rachel Guerin (Mike) and James A. Hyers, III. He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.
