She was predeceased by: her parents, Vincent Whitney and Elsie Whitney (John J. Van); her granddaughter Brittany Cena; her daughter-in-law Maureen Van Houten; and her siblings, Vincent Whitney, Ronald Whitney, Robert Whitney and Barbara Rice.
She is survived by: her husband John; her children, John Van Houten of Beaufort, Denise Cena (Ernie) of Toms River, Jeannette F. Van Houten of Union Beach and Michael Van Houten (Tiffany) of Union Beach; her grandchildren, Carol-Ann Cena (Herb Spicer), Amber Cena, Allie Van Houten, Mikey Van Houten, Ryan Van Houten, Michael Milburn, Amy Milburn and John Milburn; and her great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Jazmyn Spicer, Caitlyn Rowe and Ravyn Ramierez. She is also survived by her brother in law and sister in laws, as well as her many nieces and nephews.
