She was predeceased by: her parent Lavinia Cason; her husband Gail Thurston; her father Archie "Buster" Wormley; and her brothers, Herbert Cason Warren (NY) and Richard Cason (NY).
She is survived by: her significant other Munford "Monk" Lambert; her close friend Pearl Hallett; her children, Sandy, Gail Kim (Peanut), Gwen and Dale; her grandchildren, Khaleah (MD), Letisha (NJ), Nehmiah (NJ), Brieon Terrence NJ (PA) and Jordan (NJ); her nieces and nephews, Sabrina, Yvonne, Pat, Andre and Gerry; and her siblings, Thelma Riley, Marilyn Bailey and Leo "Dex" Riley.
