Terrence Delahanty Obituary
Terrence Delahanty, 69, of Trenton passed away on December 2, 2020 at Capital Health Medical Center in Trenton, NJ with his loving family by his side.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong resident of the area. He attended and graduated from Trenton Central High School where he began his education and training for a fifty plus year career in structural engineering.
Terry passionately pursued many interests, including engineering, boating, fishing, gardening, cooking and his family. He especially loved spending time at his camp in Liberty, Maine where he was able to pursue all of those interests and more. Terry also volunteered for many years as coach of a travel soccer team for West End Soccer League.
Terry is survived by his loving wife of forty nine years, Michelle Sedlak Delahanty and his devoted children, Tara Delahanty of Bordentown, NJ and Terrence Delahanty of Ewing, NJ and his beloved mother, Jean Taylor Delahanty. He was predeceased by his father Francis, "Harp" Delahanty.
Terry is also survived by his loving sisters Patricia Jean Delahanty (Rich) of Concord, NC, Margaret Delahanty Schluter (Luren Dickinson) of Chadds Ford, PA and family members brother-in law John Paul Sedlak (Dorothy) of Venice, FL, sister-in-law Carla Sedlak (Edward Bennett) of Bordentown, NJ and Uncle Owen Taylor of Billings, MT.
Terry had many nieces and nephews: Jessica Davis (Andy and Nate Huneycutt), Will Schluter (Emily and Jack), Katy Davis (Ben Wooten), Amanda Donato (Tristan and Gianna Fernandez), Reid Schluter (Maddy Gomez), Robert Bennett and numerous cousins and lifelong dear friends.
A private mass will be held for the family at this time.
A celebration of Terry's life will be scheduled in the future.
