He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Ortiz and Aurora Tirado; his son Felipe Rafael Ortiz; his granddaughter Ann Kent Hilferty; and his siblings, Mary Rodriguez (Juan), Carmelita Ortiz, Juancito Ortiz and Carmelito Ortiz (Ines).
He is survived by: his children, Sebastian Antonio Ortiz, Jr. (Dawn Rénee), Alicia Gloria Hilferty (James Vincent), Gladys Maria Ortiz and Ana Hilda Berdecía (Enrique); his grandchildren, Sabrina Tyson, Joaquin Ortiz, Toni Rénee Ortiz, Victoria Adele Swope (Derik), Veronica Marie Hilferty, Christina Rose Hilferty, Javier Enrique Brown, Amanda Lynn Fenderson (Jabrelle), Adan Enrique Berdecía (Kathryn) and Gabriel Sebastian Berdecía (Staicy); and his great grandchildren, Taj, Robert Tyson, Jabrelle, Noelle, Maxwelle Fenderson, Daniel, Jericho and Hope Berdecía. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and other relatives.
