He was predeceased by: his father Raul Acosta, Jr.; his brothers, Felix A. Colon and Rhadames Acosta; and his nephews, Ismael Martinez and Eddie Nelson Acosta.
He is survived by: his mother Ana Martinez-Lewis; his siblings, Carmen L. Martinez Davis (Mark), Luis A. Acosta (Sylvia), Miguel A. Acosta-Martinez, Roberto Acosta, Carmen D. Rodriguez (Santos), Anna Acosta- (Amesha) of Washington, Betsy Acosta (Mark), Maria Rivera, Lucas Rivera (Angela) and Christina L. Acosta; and his nieces and nephews, Zamure N. Bethea and Amaari S. Acosta.
