She was predeceased by: her parent Jessie W. Reeves; her husband John H. Gilbert, Jr.; her sons, Barry V. Reeves and Warren T. Jackson; and her sisters, Jesse Reeves (Ida), George W. Reeves, Sr. (Novella), Leroy Francis Reeves (Delores), Thelma T. Ward (Samuel) and Ruth Carey (Calvin).

She is survived by: her parent Carrie Lee Swinson-Reeves; and her children, Donal Reeves (Anna), LaBlon R. Jackson, Faye Gilbert-Martin (Kevin), Charla D. Doney (Gregory), Maurice C. Jackson, Joseph W. Jackson, Lisa P. Jackson, Theresa Mungro-Karngbaye, Justine S. Hammock and Ayn C. Jackson. She is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 49 great- grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild and a host other relatives and friends.
