Lucco Thomas Grosso Lucco Thomas Grosso "Luke", 78, died Thursday, 11/25/21 on Thanksgiving morning at his home. Luke was born September 19, 1943 in Trenton NJ to Mary and Thomas Grosso in Trenton. He was a family man and loved his children, his grandchildren, and cared for his Hamilton neighbors, his church community and dear friends.
Luke also loved animals. Luke graduated from Trenton Central High School 1963. He served in the US Army Reserves from 1964-1970. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Luke. He enjoyed his retirement from years of loyal service to UPS but liked to stay busy. He worked as a Hamilton Crossing Guard crossing children, worked as a guard in the summer at Switlick Park and owned a cleaning business.
His hobbies included manicuring his lawn, painting his beautiful home, detailing cars, spending time with his grandchildren, and meeting with his friends for coffee. He was a religious and generous person. He was a member of the Graceway Bible Church in Hamilton. His pleasant personality was contagious to everyone he met. Luke is survived by his three children: daughter, Elizabeth Grosso Stewart, daughter, Amy Grosso Piacentino, son-in-law, Michael Piacentino, and son, Matthew Grosso.
Grandchildren: Alec Grosso, and Michael Angelo Piacentino Jr. Family: brothers and sisters: Frank and Mary Grosso, late Phyllis (Philomena) Grosso, Elizabeth "Betty" and Harry Goldman, Maria and Joe Vannozzi, former wife Maryellen Murray, many cousins nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Friday, December 10 from 9-10:45am at the St. Anthony's Church, 626 S. Olden Avenue, Hamilton 08629.
Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am. Burial will take place in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in his name be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Murphy Funeral Home, Ewing and Hamilton.
