He was predeceased by: his parents, John Latimer Sr. and Carrie B. Redding; his daughter Ruschell Fireall; his siblings, Haywood, Willie, Marvin Latimer and Annie Pack; and his former wife Juanita Latimer-Wiggins.
He is survived by: his children, Regina Latimer-Anderson, Michelle McMillan and Dwayne Latimer; his siblings, Jessy Wilson and Abron Latimer; and his godchildren, Judy Johnson Gilchrist, Darren Bolden and Leon Gilchrist. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including special friends.
