He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Keenan Jr. and Elva Fowler Keenan; and his son Patrick Edward Keenan. He is survived by: his wife Eileen Coughlin Keenan; his son James A. Keenan IV (Kristin); his grandsons, James A. Keenan V and Brian P. Keenan; his sister Marjorie Kownacky; his nephew F. Thomas Kownacky (Gail); and his nieces, Karen, Kristine, Kathleen Kownacky, Virginia Hughes and Catherine Mary Koester (John).
