He was predeceased by: his parents, Abraham Cuevas and Isabel Candelaria Cuevas; his daughter Olga Rivera; his granddaughter Ocean Cuevas; and his brothers, Isaac, Ismael Cuevas and Baltazar "Lito" Candelaria.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Dominica Flores Cuevas; his children, Israel Cuevas Jr. (Wenia), Edward Cuevas (Wendy), Mary Torres and Denise Torres (William); his grandchildren, Eric Cuevas, Jose Dejesus, Jamarie Torres, Martene Larkin, Ciera Cuevas, Miguel Cuevas, Javier Torres Jr., William Torres Jr., Tatyana Cuevas, Samantha Cuevas, Adrianna Torres, Isabel Cuevas and Israel Cuevas; his great grandchildren, Kayla Cuevas, Emilo Dejesus, Myla Diaz, Julianna Haigler, Nayeli Roman, Jaylinh Cuevas, Jizelle Wright, Livia Torres, Hallow Torres and Kayden Pego; his grandchildren, Alyson and Angelyna Torres; and his siblings, Julio, Enrique, Abraham, Felix Cuevas, Isabel Vega and Hilda Cuevas. He is also survived by many niece and nephews.
