He is survived by: his wife Marianne Henriquez Defence; his children, Guy Berthon Defence Jr. and Marline Defence; his grandchildren, Tatiana and Guylene Defence; his siblings, Carline Jacques, Wilbert, Heins, Carl and Jean Claude Jacques; his siblings-in-law, Wilda, Marise, Marie Ange, Marjorie Henriquez, Choupette, Lorraine Jacques, Wilner, Joseph and Frederick Henriquez; and his cousins, Myrlene, Magalie, Lydie, Chouminie Lebrun, Marjorie Nicholas, Natacha Dorelien, Joel, Ruth and Ester Henriquez. He is also survived by many nieces, and nephews.
