He is survived by: his son George O. Sykes, Jr.; and his siblings, Don Sykes of Thomasville, Dolly Bowser of Columbia, Rosaie Alexander of Greensboro, Angelia Dunbar of Greensboro and Diane Carter (Keith) of Baltimore. He is also survived by uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
