He is survived by: his children, Jonathan Allen of Houma, LA, Cynthia Allen of Baton Rouge, LA and Michael Toohey of Maryland; his grandchildren, Kellen Allen, Avery Allen, Jackson Allen Shaffers, Carrie Anne Toohey and Jonathan Toohey; his sister Barbara Smith of Newtown, PA; and his former wife Julia Allen of Port Allen, LA..
